Rutile’s color and character are derived from the needles dispersed throughout the quartz. These natural inclusions are composed of rutile or tourmaline with colors ranging from silver and gold to copper or jet black.
Gemstones with inclusions are generally considered more valuable than those without. We respectfully disagree. In fact, rutilated needle inclusions make all the difference! The patterns they create are fun and playful, making every rutile jewel unique.
